Seven columns, one deck, and four suits to carry home from ace to king: if you have ever played patience, you already know this one. Garden Solitaire is classic Klondike, set out on a card table in a little garden by a duck pond. Every morning there's one deal, the same for everybody, and we run each one through a solver first, so you know it can be won before you turn a card. Draw one card at a time for a gentler game or three for the old-school challenge, undo as often as you like, and ask for a hint when the board goes quiet. Practice deals in the menu keep coming when you want more.
The ducks are ours. The kings, queens and jacks wear photos of our own flock: drakes on the kings, hens and white call ducks on the queens, ducklings on the jacks. Tiny watches from the bank, nods when a card goes up and dozes if you wander off, while Rusty paddles about in the pond below. Win the daily and a flower goes on your garden path, and on the bigger streak days ducklings come out along the bank. The sky and the trees follow your time of day and the season. It's for anyone who likes a calm game of cards with big, easy-to-read cards, on a phone or a laptop. Nothing to pay and nothing to install, just a small Long Island game studio and a pond full of ducks. If the rules are fuzzy, here's how to play Garden Solitaire.
